New Manager for Carp Fair in 2017

Carp, ON, September 13th, 2016 –  The Carp Agricultural Society wishes to announce the results of the recent canvas for the position of General Manager.  We are pleased to introduce Mrs. Stephanie Verk as the new General Manager, commencing January 1st2017.

During her career she has gained sound knowledge and experience both academically and hands on. In 2009, Stephanie graduated from St. Lawrence College for Business Administration; most recently completing the Fundraising Management course through Algonquin College. She has run her own bookkeeping and office solutions business for the past 6 years and brings a strong business sense to the organization. “She brings a blend of experience, community commitment and fresh ideas to the Society.” director, Faye Potter commented.

Having mentored under the current manager, Joyce Trafford, for the past 4 years in the capacity of Office Administrator and Media Planner, Stephanie comments, “I know I will have big shoes to fill but I look forward to working with the great organization and the years to come.” Joyce Trafford has been dedicated to the fair for the last 27 years. There will be a retirement party in October to celebrate her many years of service.

  1. Men s Night began as a pancake dinner that raised money for the Carp Fair; as the fair has grown and found more financial stability, it s become a chance to honour the fair s many sponsors and volunteers.
